Bachelor of Arts, Yale, 1848. Admitted to bar, 1850.

Career

Practiced at Fairfield, 1850-1854, and at New Haven, since 1882. Clerk Supreme and Superior courts, New Haven, 1860-1881. President Second National Bank, New Haven, 1881-1899, since vice-president and director.

Director New York,N.H.&H. Railroad Company, 1895-1906 (resigned). Also Consolidated Railway Company, N.E. Navigation Company.

Membership

Member Connecticut House of Representatives, 1854. Member Board of Education, New Haven, 1879-1881.
