Placed on list of officers considered qualified for staff employment in consequence of service in the field. Soudan 1905, operations against the Nyan Nyan Tribes (despatches, clasps to Egyptian medal, 4th class Medjidieh). Soudan, 1906, operations at Talodi, S. Kondfan (despatches, clasp to Egyptian medals).
