lieutenant was founded by Robert M. Bernstein in 1919, a time when tort litigation was in its infancy.
He was joined by his son, Marshall A. Bernstein in 1949, and gradually the law firm grew to its present size. Formerly known as Bernstein, Bernstein & Harrison, the present firm name acknowledges those partners active in the practice today.
While maintaining the traditions that have sustained it for so long, the firm is recognized for its advocacy of victims" rights and remedies using new and existing legal theories, innovative strategies and tactics, and state-of-the-art technology in its chosen area of concentration.
