Arthur Michael Wolfe, American Astrophysics educator. Achievements include discovery of population of objects that are the progenitors of current disk galaxies; research on generation of anisotropies in temperature of microwave background due to large-scale density perturbations, stringent limits on space-time variations of physical constants, spatial resolution of high-redshift gas with VLBI interferometer.
