1892 defended doctor’s thesis on effects of derivatives of guanidine. Specialist training in Berlin and Viennese clinics and at Moscow’s Myasnitskaya Hospital. Until 1910 worked at 1st and 2nd Moscow Hospitals.
Also intern, Myasnitskaya Hospital. 1911-1925 assistant professor, 1925-1932 professor, Chair of Skin and Venereal Diseases, Higher Women's Courses (now 2nd Moscow Medical Institute). Demonstrated role of dystrophy of ncuro-endocrine system and internal organs in pathogenesis and course of skin diseases.
1917 gave account of Norwegian itch. 1924 described purulent psoriasis. 1928 described nodular skin disease of the joints.
1930 described nodular chondrodermatitis of the aural helix. Attended many Pirogov Congresses, international dermatological congresses and All-Union congresses of venereologists. Honorary member, Moscow, Saratov, Gorky and Kuban’ Dermatological Social.
Correspondent member, Danish, Czechoslovakian and Berlin Dermatological Social. Wrote 142 works.
