Achievements

• Achievements include invention of number of genes which are up regulated both in senescence and defense against pathogen attack in plants. Research in tagged and mapped the white rust resistance gene in indian mustard by using molecular markers. Development of technique to estimate accurately the lesion area of rice blast disease.
