BOTALIEV, Ashira was born in 1906.
1926 member, Frunze amateur music and drama club, then entered Music and Drama Studio. In 1930's was a leading singer, Kirghizia Music and Drama Theater. 1934 played Iskander in “Adzhal Orduna”, then played Dzhapar in D. Bokonbaev’s musical drama “Altyn-Kyz”, and Chinkozho in opera “Ay-Churek”.
1941-1945 member of touring artists’ brigades which performed for Soviet soldiers and officers. After war played: Lenin in N. Pogodin’s “Chelovek s ruzhem” (Man with a Gun). Wurm in Schiller’s “Kabale und Liebe”.
Kobok Kedey in K. Dzhantoshev’s play “Karachan”. 1959 played Maedlysh in film “Daleko v gorakh” (Far in the Mountains) produced by Alma-Ata Film Studio.
