She attended Mayfield Secondary School in the Dramatic Arts Programme. She studied at Humber College (in their Comedy Programme), and with the Second City Conservatory.
She is best known as an alumna of the Second City Toronto, and for her role as Mississippi Badger on Degrassi. At Mayfield she started competing in the Canadian Improv Games. Comeau"s interest in acting began at the age of 9 when she started doing impersonations of Dana Carvey"s character Garth from Wayne"s World.
She started touring for Second City Theatricals on cruise ships, then came home to Toronto to join the Second City Mainstage cast in 2011 with Carly Heffernan, Nigel Downer, Alastair Forbes, Jason DeRosse and Inessa Frantowski.
She is currently the Head Writer of Chef in Your Ear for The Food Network Canada. She has contributed to Today"s Parent, The Walrus Laughs, Canadian Broadcasting Company"s Punchline, She Does The City and written for YTV"s The Zone.
Ashley has been nominated for "Best Ensemble" at the 2014 Dora Mavor Moore Awards and several Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Revues/Best Ensemble 2013/2014. She was recently named Best Female Improviser in Toronto by Now Magazine"s "Best Of 2015 Awards."
The two met in a Second City Conservatory class in 2008 and have been dating and performing together ever since.
They have taught in Ireland, Spain, England and soon Germany.
She supports the HSSE (Heterosexuals for Same Sex Equality).
