After graduating from high school with an "A" aggregate in the Sciences, he studied Economics at University. As a graduate student, he focused on business administration with a particular concentration in Finance.

Ashley studied at Surat Hindoo Primary School and Gandhi Desai Secondary School from 1980 to 1992. After he was a student of the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1995 he became a Bachelor in Economics. From 1997 to 1999 he studied at Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. He received a degree of the Master of Business Administration. In 1999 he was a student of the University of South Africa in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. He became a Master of Commerce in Investment Finance in Business Management in 2001. In 2004 he received a degree of the Doctor of Commerce in Finance in the sphere of Business Management. In 2017 he studied at Cornell University at the department of College of Business in New York, United States.

Career

In 1999 Ashley Frank began his career working as an analyst in corporate finance advisory in Robert Fleming & Co. Ltd in London, United Kingdom. In 2000 he worked as a Lecturer of Finance and Assistant Professor at the University of Luton in Luton, United Kingdom. he held this position until 2002. In 2003 Ashley became an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Graduate School of Business in Westville, South Africa. He held this position until 2006. From 2007 to 2008 he was a Postdoctoral Onderzoeker in Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen in Brussel, Belgium. Since 2008 Ashley worked as an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. He held this position until 2010. From 2010 to 2013 he worked as a Professor of Finance at North-West University in Mafikeng, South Africa. Since 2018 he works as a Principal Executive Coach in Ascent Coaching Ltd. in Sandton, South Africa.

Ashley is the best selling author, Vistage Expert Resource Speaker and Executive Coach to South Africa's largest corporations, In 2019 he joined the international consulting firm BTG Inc. as Director. Ashley Frank has previously been a business school professor and investment banker involved with significant cross-border corporate finance advisory.
