Ashok Kumar Singh, Indian research scientist. Achievements include first to volcanism affected coals in Indian coalfields; research in many facets of coal science & technology including carbonisation, combustion, coal bed methane; first to initiate the techniques cultivating of medicinal and aromatic plants in rain fed condition in remote waste lands of Jharkhand state.
