Career
Abildaev began and ended his career with Football Club Shakhter Karagandy. He also played for Football Club Kairat in the Soviet First League. Abildaev made seven appearances and scored one goal for the Kazakhstan national football team from 1992 to 1996.
Abildaev was appointed executive director of Shakhter Karagandy in 2008.
