He joined Manly Warringah District Cricket Club in 1910, and was later President of the club He also acted as the club delegate to the New South Wales Cricket Association. He was later the treasurer and secretary of the Australian Board of Control for International Cricket and was elected chairman between 1927–1930.
1933–1936.
1945–1948 and 1951–1952. Outside cricket, Oxlade was a solicitor.
