Began as research chemical engineer, at Bradford, Pennsylvania, 1900. Has served as director and consulting engineer of many chemical and manufacturing companies. Inventor of many processes, covered by patents.
Upon entry of the United States into the World War, offered his entire private income and his services to War Department, also the use of his inventions for the period of the war, to the United States, Great Britain, France and Italy.
Associated with brother, Captain West. Francklyn Paris, in erection of plant at Charleston, West Virginia, without government subsidy. Work carried on under general direction of National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics.
Assigned to War Department free use of invention relating to gaoline engines, contributed to government his services as research chemical engineer developing new methods of operating internal combustion engines. Now operating research laboratories at Bradford and Charleston, mainly on processes relating to petroleum and chemical industries.
