First associated with the traditional Socialist Party of Argentina (1897-1927). With the party schism of the latter year, organized, with others, the Independent Socialist Party. Member of the same since 1927.
National deputy since 1916. At present also medical adviser of the principal insurance companies of Buenos Aires. Formerly alternate professor of sociology in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of Buenos Aires, and member of the Directive Council of the Faculty of Economic Sciences.
In 1906 abandoned the active practice of medicine for reasons of health. Since that time (especially after his election to the Chamber of Deputies), Dr. Bunge has devoted himself to educational and social problems, notably child labor, social insurance and pensions, labor legislation, etc.
Married Maria Miiser. Children: Mario Augusto.
