Austin played for the California Golden Bears from 2000 to 2004. During the 2014-2015 season he served as the assistant coach for the Maine Red Claws. Diggs also coached Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
He played professionally for the Sioux Falls Skyforce during the 2005-2006 season.
