Trained in this cultural, religious center, the boy studied in its art galleries and worshiped at the Annuziata chapel.
On June 2, 1844, he entered the Servite Order at its original novitiate of Monte Senario.
Six years later he made his solemn profession and was ordained, May 1, 1850.
From 1864 to 1870, he served in England.
Subsequently, the Servites entered a half dozen dioceses.
In the midst of parochial duties, Morini gave missions and retreats and acted as vicar-general of the order.

A solid student who gave considerable time to researches in ecclesiastical history and doctrine, Morini wrote a number of articles for American and foreign Catholic periodicals and published Poems in Honor of St. Philip Benizi (1885), Historical Essays on the Seven Holy Founders and Their Times (1888), and The Origin of Devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows (1893).
He took charge of a congregation at Menasha, Wis. , and four years later, on the invitation of Bishop Thomas Foley, established Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Chicago as a mother house.
