Austin Njiribeako Nosike was born in Southern Nigeria on March 23, 1972, the son of Raphael Iwuamadi and Annastecia (Nnodim) Nosike.
Nosike received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1992. He later returned to the same university, earning a second Bachelor of Science in Society Studies in 1996. Expanding his academic background into business and administration, he completed a Master of Business Administration at Imo State University, and another MBA at Rivers State University of Science and Technology in 1997.
Nosike began his professional career as journalist with Daily Star Newspapers Ltd., Enugu (1986–1987), and as staff writer at The Statesman, Owerri (1987–1989). He worked with the Technological and Economic Development Mission (1989–1990), and later became assistant editor of Finance Newsflash Magazine (1990–1991). Since 1991, he has been senior consultant with Peak Consultancy Services Ltd. in Owerri and Lagos, also serving as executive director of Ace Consultancy Services Ltd.
He held research fellowships at the Nigerian Institute for Research and Development, Owerri (since 1993), and the National Consortium on Economic and Social Research, Lagos (since 1994). He lectured at Kaduna Polytechnic (since 1993) and was visiting lecturer at the Nigerian Defense Academy, Kaduna (1994–1995).
Beyond academia, Nosike served as marketing executive at B. Truss Nigeria Ltd. (1991), visiting consultant at Afro-Euro Consult, Lagos (1992–1994), and consultant-at-large with J. Charlot & Associates, Maryland (since 1993). He has also been member of the advisory board of the Nigerian Development Council, Abuja (since 1991), and trustee and president of Development Africa Consortium (since 1996).
