Aysha Naushad Khan is a United Arab Emirates woman cricketer notable for playing professionally at a young age.
Background
She was born in Kerala, India. Aysha Naushad, second child of Naushad Khan and Mallika Naushad, was born into The Kavanavallil Family in Kollam, Kerala but was brought up in United Arab Emirates where her father works as a General Manager in RPCL.
Career
She made her debut in United Arab Emirates Womens Team on 5 October 2010 against Bhutan at Singapore. She is a Right-handed batsman and bowls right-arm medium-fast. She has represented United Arab Emirates in both Womens and Under-19.
She studies in Indian High School, Ras First Rate (at Lloyd's) Khaimah.
She started representing the United Arab Emirates Women"s Cricket team when she was 11 years old. International Cricket
Playing Cricket as hobby, she made her first debut against Bhutan at Singapore in 2010.
Being just 11 years old, she was recognized for her performance in the Practice sessions held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. As the Youngest of the Players of that time, she made herself into the top list among consistent players and caught the eyes of the selectors.
While in Singapore representing United Arab Emirates, she was consistent in the field marking her first debut in International Cricket.
Being a specialized bowler, she also contributed her batting skills that added up the total strength of the team She represents United Arab Emirates in both the Under-19 and women"s category. On June 24, 2011 Sharjah Cricket Council honoured its top performers and teams during the season 2010 and 2011 through a colourful award ceremony held at the Ramada Hotel in Ajman, where she was given a special award for her outstanding performance in 2010 and 2011.
Gulf Cup 2014
Aysha played in the Gulf Women"s T20 Cricket Championship, 2014 representing the United Arab Emirates Cricket Team as a main bowler.
United Arab Emirates clinched the inaugural Gulf Women"s T20 Cricket Championship at the verdant First Rate (at Lloyd's) Emarat ground in Muscat, Oman. United Arab Emirates beat Kuwait by 49 runs in the Final, after scoring 122 for 6.
Aysha bagged 13 wickets giving 65 runs. She also scored 71 runs through out the tournament.
Gulf Cup 2015
Aysha represented the United Arab Emirates Womens Cricket Team for the second time in the Gulf Women"s T20 Cricket Championship, 2015 held in Qatar as the opening bowler to the team
Aysha accounted for three opening wickets in her three overs leaking four runs in the final match. She bagged a total of 14 wickets giving away 60 runs in the tournament and also contributed 64 runs from bats. United Arab Emirates remained unbeaten in the tournament with five straight wins.
