Career
From 1929 associate. Chair of Normal Anatomy, Leningrad Military Medical Academy. 1935 defended doctor’s thesis on the structure of the lower jaw. From 1936 founder-head, Chair of Orthopedic Stomatology, Leningrad Stomatological Institute.
Specialized in the functional anatomy of the jaws, biological methods of orthodontic treatment, the functional diagnosis of occlusal anomalies, the mechanism of dentition, and methods of treating neoplasms of the jaw. Made major contribution to the development of the functional trend in Soviet orthopedic stomatology. Designed several stomatological corrective devices, including special jacket-crowns, a bite-plate and sprung braces.
Wrote over 60 works; 1940 together with North. A. Astakhov and Ye. M. Gofung, wrote first Soviet textbook on orthopedic stomatology.
