Career
He went to jail during 1940-1941 and again in 1942 for participation in the national movement. He belonged to Indian National Congress(Incorporated) but later on like many loyalists of the old brigade he joined the Incorporated(O) and fought on its side in 1971 Lok Sabha elections. His father Shri Jagannath Prasad was the Zamindar of Ram Nagar village, District Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh.
Born into a Zamindar family at Ram Nagar in 1900, he devoted his life for the nation and led a simple and austere lifestyle.
He received his education from Sanatan Dharam High School, Etawah, United Presbyterian and Saint John"s College, Agra and Law College, Allahabad. He practised law from 1929 to 1946.
He died on 12 November 1984. An obituary reference was made in the Lok Sabha on 18 January 1985.
He held many positions of leadership all throughout his life.
