Balaji Narasimhan, Indian chemical engineer, educator. Achievements include research in areas of diffusion in polymers and biomedical engineering, especially in controlled delivery of drugs, proteins and peptides, and biomedical transport phenomena. Named One of 2000 Outstanding Scientists of the 20th Century. Member American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Physical Society, Sigma Xi, Tau Beta Pi (chair initiation committee 1995-1996).
