He acts in lead and supporting roles. Balu Varghese is the son of Varghese Economic Journal and Neena Varghese.He is the nephew of Malayalam actor Lal and Music Director Alex Paul. He made his acting debut in 2005, by playing a Child Artist in Chanthupottu.
He later played the lead role in Lal June’s directorial debut film Honeybee.
