Career
Bamboku Ono was elected a member of the Tokyo Municipal Assembly and then the House of Representatives (1930). He was appointed a State Minister Without Portfolio (1953).
Politics
Bamboku Ono was a member of the Seiyukai Party before the war. After the war, he was appointed Secretary-General of the Liberal Party. A senior leader of the party, he was elected Speaker of the Lower House (1952).
