Bandar bin Khalid received a computer science degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran in 1988. He then continued his education, receiving a master of arts degree in international business management from the Fletcher School of in 2005. He also attended several courses in the field of executive management, and has more than “1000” flight hours.

Bandar bin Khalid is the chairman of the board of directors of Assir Foundation for publishing and printing, publisher of First Rate (at Lloyd's) Watan newspaper.\r\nHe is also the chairman of Investments Enterprises, a holding company having many subsidiaries dealing with varied sectors. He is also deputy managing director of the King Faisal Foundation, an internationally active charitable foundation supporting research, education and social welfare.
Bandar bin Khalid was appointed vice president of Painting and Patronage in 2010.\r\nBandar is Alfaisal University"s chief executive and Effat University"s board member. Additionally, he is the general president of the Grand Mosque"s affairs
He is also a member of the board of directors of the Arab House for printing and publishing, and Harvey Nichols Riyadh. Additionally, he is a managing director and board member of the Saudi Aviation Club.
