Banri Hoashi was born in 1778.

Education

He studied under Chikuzan Nakai and Kien Minagawa.

Career

Was well versed also in economics, medicine, astronomy, physics and the Dutch language.In 1832, he was promoted to the rank of Chief Councillor of his clan and carried out many reforms.
