Career
He was a two-time All-American in 1930 and 1931. After college he played in the Amateur Athletic Union (Amateur Athletic Union) for the DX-Oilers. Carlton led them to a national championship in 1933 with teammate Chuck Hyatt and helped produce a 26–0 record.
