At 6"4" (193 m) he played as a small forward/shooting guard. He played on four different National Basketball Association teams between 1987 and 1992. Along with former National Basketball Association players Bobby Jones and David Thompson, Kofoed co-found 2XSALT, a non-profit Christian organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
