Nalebuff, Barry James was born on July 11, 1958 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Edward Alan and Marcia Ruth (Silver) Nalebuff.
Nalebuff graduated in 1980 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with degrees in economics and mathematics. He then earned his master"s degree and doctorate in economics from Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship.
