He graduated from Federal Urdu University and obtained a masters in Political Science from Karachi University, in 2003.
Career
He was appointed as Deputy general secretary of Awami National Party (Sindh)2004 to 2010. After that he was elected as a General secretary of Awami National Party Sindh Province form 2010 since 2015. Bashir January is a person who speaks against terrorist and terrorism at every platform, thats why he was attacked four times by Taliban and other terrorist, in deferent timeframe.
Third time he was attacked by unknown persons at frontier colony, Metroville, South.I.T.E Karachi on 17 August 2012.
Membership
He was also nominated as a member of Central Working Committee of the Awami National Party in 2008 and was elected vice-president of the Pukhtoon Action Committee.
