Basti BAGIROVA, USSR Chairman, Voroshilov Kolkhoz, Kasum-Ismailovo Rayon, Azerbaydzhan. Member, Central Committee, Communist Party Azerbaydzhan; member, Communist Party since 1937. two Order of Lenin; Order of Red Banner of Labor; medals; Hero of Socialist Labor, 1946; bronze bust erected in her honor at Abdulla-bck.
Education
Graduated night school and completed two years of preparatory training at Azerbaydzhan Agriculture Institute.
Career
From early youth worked on cotton plantations. 1935-1936 attended All-Union Congress of Kolkhoznik Shock-Workers. 1936, as fieldtcam leader, achieved record cotton harvest.
Initiated "hundred centner movement” (picking a hundred centners of cotton per hectare). Deputy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Soviet of 1937, 1946, 1950, 1954 and 1958 convocations. Member. Council for Kolkhoz Affairs, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Council of Minister
Delegation, 20th Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congress. 1959 Presidium member, Azer Supreme Soviet.
