Elected district judge, 13th Judicial District, Oklahoma, 1934, reëlected, 1938.

Elected justice, 3d District, Supreme Court of the Oklahoma, three terms, 1941-1958, vice-chief justice Supreme Court, 1949-1951, chief justice, 1951-1953.
