Career

Served First lieutenant Company D, 8th Texas Infantry, Walker’s Division, C.S.A., in Civil War. Admitted to Texas bar, 1865. Practiced law at Anderson, Texas, 1865-1877, Sherman, Texas, 1877-1880, Tombstone, Arizona, 1880-1890, San Diego, California, 1890-1892, Los Angeles, California, 1892-1903.

Returned to Tombstone, 1903, to attend to business of Tombstone Consolidated Mines Limited company, Tombstone, Imperial Copper Company, Silver Bell, Pima Company, Arizona, and Tombstone Improvement Company, for which is attorney Democrat. Company treasurer, Cochise Company, Arizona, 1884-1885, district attorney, 1887. Commissioner to revise laws of Arizona, 1887-1888.
