Ben Green studied at Brandeis University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also attended Florida State University and received a Master of Arts degree.
Ben Green started his career as a founding teacher of the School for Applied Individualized Learning. He also worked at Florida Education Association as a communications specialist. In 1986, he began to work as a senior management trainer of the Florida Center for Public Management. Now he is the Director of the Florida Center for Public Management and is responsible for the overall management of the Center.
Ben Green wrote nonfiction books addressing various events and people that have marked the history of the state of Florida. His first book, Finest Kind: A Celebration of a Florida Fishing Village, was published in 1985. His next books were published in 1992, 1999 and 2005. He has also served a primary consultant on a half dozen documentaries and TV broadcasts based on his books.
