Cutter, Benjamin was born on September 6, 1857 in Woburn, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Ephraim and Rebecca Smith (Sullivan) Cutter.

Education

Educated Warren Academy, Woburn, Massachusetts. Pupil in violin of Eichberg (Boston), Singer (Stuttgart). 1877-1881; theoretical studies, Emery (Boston), Götschius and Seifriz (Stuttgart).

Career

Born in Woburn, Massachusetts, he died in Boston. His output was mainly chamber music, but he wrote some cantatas and church music as well.
