Career
He is most known for his mastering work and his studio, Bernie Grundman Mastering, which he opened in 1983 in Hollywood. In 1997 he opened a studio in Tokyo. Previously, Grundman worked at Contemporary Records and then was head of the Agricultural and Mechanical Records mastering department in Los Los Angeles
Now his studio also has been established in Tokyo, Japan with engineer Yasuji Maeda.
In 1991, he mastered the album Moment of Truth by Terri Nunn. The following year, Grundman participated in mastering Doctor Dre"s début solo album The Chronic.
He also mastered Lisa Stansfield"s 2014 album, Seven and Jennifer Warnes" The Hunter (24 karat gold Civil Defense) from her own analog master studio tapes. He also mastered Breakaway by Dark Horse Flyer in 2014.
