He was also a lyricist author He was accepted into the Chamber of Mektubi-i Sadr-ı Ali at the age of 12. In 1854, he was appointed a secretary at the Ottoman Ministry of Foreign Affairs and following that, an Assistant to the Ottoman Minister of Justice;
In 1872, he was transferred to the Istanbul Municipality as head of the Reform Department of the Council of State.
Between May and July 1872, he became head of İstanbul Municipality (Belediye Başkanı).
Membership
He became a member of Meclis-i Vâlâ and the Council of State. And head of the Office of the Palace.
