Vice president Board of Freeholders, Berkeley. President John A. Roebling’s Sons Company of California, 1922-1925. President League of California Municipalities, 1910-1911.

Chairman committee of arrangements for meeting of America Bar Association, San Francisco, August 1922. Presided at annual banquet of Commonwealth Club, given to Chief Justice Taft and Lord Shaw, 1922. Representative California Bar Association at American Law Institute, Washington, 1924.
