Bhanu Choudhrie was born in Delhi, India, in June of 1978. His father is Sudhir Choudhrie, a London-based businessman with interests in media, hospitality, aviation, health care and mall development. His mother’s name is Anita.
Current Prime Minister Theresa May, then serving as home secretary of the UK, awarded the elder Choudhrie with the 2013 Asian Business Lifetime Achievement Award.
Bhanu Choudhrie moved to London in 2000.
Bhanu Choudhrie received an education in international business and marketing at the University of Boston. He also completed the Owner/President Management program at Harvard School of Business.
Bhanu Choudhrie started his career with an internship at JPMorgan Chase & Co. In 1999, he became aware of new and diverse business opportunities in London and decided to go into the investment sector there.
He founded C&C Alpha Group in 2002. He has overseen investment strategy since that time.
CCAG is a family-owned, family-operated private equity firm. It is based in London and has additional offices in India. Choudhrie established the firm as a holding company for a group of seasoned venture capitalists.
Choudhrie and his team at CCAG have investments in banking, utilities, health care, hospitality, aviation and agriculture. Real estate interests encompass residential, retail, commercial and leisure properties. The firm is known for its diverse and expansive global portfolio, which includes care homes in the UK and luxury spa resorts in India.
Alpha Aviation Group offers innovative training solutions in the commercial aviation industry.
Alpha Utilities supplies half a million gallons of desalinated water a day to the undersupplied Hamriyah Free Zone in the UAE.
The Shanti Hospitality subsidiary of CCAG has created award-winning brands like Ananda, located in the Himalayan foothills, and Nira Hotels & Resorts. Various Nira projects span the Indian subcontinent, Europe and Asia. The Nira Alpina resort, which is situated at the foot of Mount Corvatsch near St. Moritz, is one of the highest-rated hotels in the Swiss Alps. It is the only ski-in and ski-out hotel in the area. Nira Alpina was awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013, 2014 and 2017. It has also received awards from Booking.com and Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
In the U.S., Choudhrie co-founded Megalith Capital Management. He is a board member of both Atlantic Coast Bank and Customers Bank.
In 2008, Choudhrie was named Asian Entrepreneur of the Year at the Asian Voice Political and Public Life Awards.

Bhanu Choudhrie is a generous donor to global charities. He is the director of Path to Success, a charity his mother, Anita, founded in London in 2005. Path to Success educates and supports disabled individuals with limited financial resources.
Bhanu Choudhrie lives in the affluent Belgravia district of central London with his son. Kabir Bhanu Wilfrid Choudhrie was born in 2011.
Choudhrie’s six-story home is valued at close to $26 million. Choudhrie’s request to build a two-story basement was approved in 2015. The new space will house a leisure complex, cinema and movie theater.
As an avid sports fan, Choudhrie is heavily involved with Commonwealth Games England. He chaired the business advisory board and secured significant funding for the 2010 games in Delhi. After raising more than $150,000 by signing up small business, he became an Official Friend of the England Team. Two years later, he served as a nonexecutive director and spearheaded fundraising efforts for the CGE.
In recent years, Choudhrie has expressed his concerns about various environmental issues. He views global warming, for instance, as a significant challenge for both emerging economies and investors.
In a 2017 blog published on the BusinessGreen website, he is quoted as saying, “It is often said that the sins of developed economies, whose factories belched out fossil fuels throughout the 20th century, are being visited on emerging markets at the very point that they are experiencing stellar economic growth for the first time.”
Bhanu Choudhrie has been in a relationship with designer Tamara Ralph since 200. They have one child together.
