Solorzano obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in broadcast journalism and theatre arts from the University of Miami where she also graduated cum laude. She was also an anchor for the University of Miami"s cable news channel.
Prior to joining Columbia Broadcasting System News, Solorzano was an anchor on Microsoft and National Broadcasting Company from 2003-2005. Solorzano has been with Columbia Broadcasting System News since 2006. Prior to that Solorzano was the weekend anchor and 3-day weekday reporter at KCRA 3-television an National Broadcasting Company affiliate in Sacramento, California from 1999-2003.
Solorzano was born in Boston, Massachusetts but raised in Miami, Florida.
She currently resides in New New York Solorzano married Timothy Stewart Lucas in 2008 at Saint Bartholomew"s Church in New New York
Solorzano kept her last name instead of inheriting her husband"son Her parents are Madeline Solorzano and Doctor Oscar Solorzano, who is an orthopedic surgeon.
She has 2 children.
