Background

He was born in Dibrugarh, India, where he studied in the Kanoi College.

Career

He appeared in more than thirty Assamese feature films during the 1980s. His first movie was Doctor (1970). Presently he resides in Guwahati.

Achievements

• One of his songs that attained fame and was successful in the charts was "Mon Hira Doi" from the film Bowari.
