Bill Kaulitz is a German singer, songwriter, voice actor, designer, and model. He is best known for his work as the lead singer of the band Tokio Hotel.
Education
Bill was visiting Kurfürst-Joachim-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Wolmirstedt. In 2006 he ended his 9th class. Because of constant concerts it was impossible to continue a normal education,so he took private lessons with a tutor. In 2009 Bill with his brother Tom ended 10th class,passed exams and got school-leaving certificates with the same mark- 1.8. His favorite subjects at school were arts, sociology, ethics and German. He hated sports, mathematics and physics.
Career
At the age of ten Bill and his brother played small shows in Magdeburg. That time the group was called Black Question Mark. At the age of twelve in a club of Magdeburg they met Georg Listing (then 14) and Gustav Schäfer (then 13). New guys liked the group and made an offer to join them. The group was renamed Develish.
They continued to perform and in 2005 a meeting between the band and Universal Music Group's Interscope Records was arranged. They signed up Tokio Hotel. Later that year the first group album "Schrei" ("Scream") was released. They gained a lot of success in all Germany.
In February 2007 a new studio album was released - "Zimmer 483" ('Room 483"). To support the album they began a continental tour of Europe.
In February 2008 Tokio Hotel first set foot in North America to play five shows, starting in Canada and ending in New York. Tokio Hotel were the first German act since Nena to gain success internationally, and maintain their status. The U.S. tour was a success, and they went back to Europe for their 1000 Hotels Tour.
The 4th album "Humanoid" appeared on October 6,2009, which was a much more techno-oriented release and a new sound.
