A Republican, he represents District 22, which includes all or portions of Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood and Rock counties in the southwestern part of the state. Weber was raised in Rock County, Minnesota. Weber was first elected to the Senate in November 2012, succeeding Doug Magnus, who did not seek re-election.
During the 2013 legislative session, he served on the Environment and Energy Finance Subcommittee for the East-12 Division, the Finance Subcommittee for the Environment, Economic Development, and Agriculture Division, and on the Jobs, Agriculture, and Rural Development Committee.
His special legislative concerns include tax reform, economic development and jobs, and regulatory reform.
