("Cast aside your ways of evil, and the greenness will ret...)
"Cast aside your ways of evil, and the greenness will return to our mesas. Hold this evil close to your breasts, O People, and you will be driven and smitten as dry leaves before the winter wind." This was the prediction of the ancient woman, she who possessed the third eye of seeing. And with foreboding finality she concluded, "Thus I have spoken, and thus it will be." With the fulfillment of her prophetic words a deadly battle of hide and seek unfolds. Through a labyrinth of danger and intrigue travel the hunted and the hunter: the lovely Outcast Tala - fleeing for life, seeking inner peace and her promised love; the Betrayer Saviki, evil incarnate - he plays a treacherous game of deceit and annihilation; Hawk - a boy really who has much to learn about life and love.

This is not only the story of a death but also the story of a life - the life of Laura, Krystal's mother. How does a grief-stricken mother reconcile herself to such a tragic loss? As she calls upon the reserves of faith, what are some of the emotional and spiritual challenges to be faced? Though the story reads like fiction, it is actually a true-to-life account of one family's experience. It is a moving story of faith and of hope, but more than all else it is a story of love.

(Charity Afton Yorgason was born without a brain. She had ...)
Charity Afton Yorgason was born without a brain. She had a brain stem, which operated her autonomic nervous system and allowed her lungs and heart to work. But, her foster parents were told, she would never use any of her senses, never experience joy or love, never feel pain or any other physical sensation. And she would most likely die before she was two years old. . . . So Charity was adopted by the Yorgason family, and the miracles began. This little girl who was never supposed to experience any more than a vegetative existence quickly refuted all the medical "evidence" and proved she was capable of a great many things. . . .

(What can we expect now that we are in the midst of the la...)
What can we expect now that we are in the midst of the last days? What events are prophesied to occur? And how can we prepare ourselves - both physically and spiritually - to survive this tumultuous, exciting time? In Spiritual Survival in the Last Days, authors Blaine and Brenton Yorgason explore statements made by modern prophets concerning the last days. They examine what judgments, disasters, and chastisements we can expect. They then explore how to survive these things by standing in holy places - developing our personal testimonies, repenting, attending the temple, seeking personal revelation, and spiritually unifying our families. They emphasize the importance of following the Lord's living prophets in such matters as food storage, getting out of debt, keeping the Word of Wisdom, and staying sexually pure. "If," the Yorgasons conclude, "as individuals or as a people, we are striving to obtain the Spirit by making sincere efforts at repentance and a closer walk with God, then we will be able to survive spiritually during the calamities and glories of the last days."

( World class scholar Hugh Nibley (master of 22 languages...)
World class scholar Hugh Nibley (master of 22 languages and research specialist of the Middle East) enthusiastically endorsed this book. Authors Bruce Warren and Harold Brown researched ancient American cities and ruins for decades with dozens of trips to remote jungles in Central and South America. Warren (Ph.D., University of Arizona) spent nine seasons with the New World Archaeological Foundation in southern Mexico, conducting field and museum research. In the process he and Brown came up with incredible, eye-opening discoveries. While some voters on this site discount its very premise -- of Christ appearing to the inhabitants of ancient America -- they give this book a low rating without truly investigating it. But the authors are appreciative of those who approach this topic and this book with an open mind.
