Bo Adrianzon is a Swedish lawyer based in Stockholm whose practice has covered banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial law. After earning a Swedish law degree at Stockholm University and serving as a junior judge, he spent more than two decades as a partner at Advokatfirman Vinge before joining Wigge & Partners Advokat KB.
Background
Bo Adrianzon was born in 1958. His secondary education took place in Hässleholm, a town in Skåne, the southernmost province of Sweden, where he completed his upper-secondary studies before entering university.
His later career developed entirely within Sweden's legal system, first in the courts of Stockholm and then in the country's commercial law profession, which is centered on the capital.
Education
Bo Adrianzon completed secondary school at Linneskolan in Hässleholm, where he took the studentexamen between 1974 and 1977. The studentexamen is the Swedish upper-secondary school-leaving qualification that traditionally precedes university study.
He then studied law at Stockholm University between 1978 and 1983, earning a juris kandidat degree, the Swedish law degree, in 1983. The institution was founded in 1878 as Stockholms högskola, a college created as a radical alternative to Sweden's traditional universities. It was granted university status in 1960 and became Stockholm University that September.
Career
Bo Adrianzon began his legal career in the Swedish courts. From 1983 to 1985 he served as a junior judge at the District Court of Stockholm, the first-instance court in the Swedish capital, and the post gave him experience within the judicial system.
In 1985 he joined Advokatfirman Vinge KB, a Stockholm law firm established in 1983 through a merger of a number of leading Swedish firms. The firm later described itself as one of the largest in Scandinavia, with some 300 lawyers. His association with Vinge continued until 1989.
From May 1989 to December 1992 he worked as corporate counsel for Stora Kopparbergs Bergslags in Falun, an in-house legal role within a major Swedish forest and industrial company. The company later merged with Enso to form Stora Enso.
He returned to Vinge in January 1993 as a partner. There he became head of the Banking and Finance Department and practised in mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Vinge advised on large international financing transactions and many of Sweden's major mergers.
In 2014 he left Vinge with several senior colleagues to establish a separate practice. He joined Wigge & Partners Advokat KB as a partner in December 2014. The partnership was founded in January 2015 by five senior lawyers and has continued to be based in Stockholm.
Membership
Adrianzon has practised as an advokat, a licensed member of the Swedish legal profession, since 1993. Advokatsamfundet, the Swedish Bar Association, is the professional organization of Swedish advokater and maintains standards of professional conduct among its members.
