He lectures internationally in the field of aesthetic medicine
On the 18th of May 2012, Khanna became a visiting Professor of Facial Aesthetics at the University of Sevilla, Spain. Doctor Khanna has been featured on many cosmetic surgery related television documentaries such as Cosmetic Surgery Live (Channel 5) and assisted in the launch of Sky televisions award-winning ‘Nip-Tuck’ series with his major contribution in ‘Plastic surgery laid bare’ (sky one). He has also featured on Independent Television"s Daybreak.
He was an associate dentist and became clinical lead prior to opening his private practice in Ascot, Berkshire.
Khanna founded a training institute in order to help create a uniform and safe standard among medical and dental professionals in the practice of botulinum toxin and dermal filler treatments in the United Kingdom. In 2003, Khanna was awarded a Fellowship from the International Academy of Dental Facial Aesthetics in New New York In 2007, Khanna established the International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics (IAAFA), of which he is also President.
In the same year he was also appointed as Lead Clinical Lecturer in Facial Aesthetics by the Royal College of Surgeons (London). In 2010, Khanna authored the facial aesthetics module of the Aesthetic Dentistry Master of Science at King"s College London.
In 2011, Khanna was one of the only United Kingdom representatives invited to speak at IMCAS Asia (International Master Course on Ageing Skin) in Singapore.
He was also keynote speaker at IFED (International Federation of Aesthetic Dentistry). In 2012, Khanna became a Professor of Facial Aesthetics from The University of Saville, Spain. The same year, Khanna became a visiting Professor of Facial Aesthetics at the University of Sevilla, Spain.
