Career
McGill started his National Hockey League career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1982. He also played for the Chicago Black Hawks, San Jose Sharks, Detroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, and Hartford Whalers. He left the National Hockey League after the 1994 season.
McGill is currently an analyst with Leafs television, a popular media outlet in the Greater Toronto Area following the Toronto Maple Leafs and their AHL affiliate the Toronto Marlies.
McGill also serves as the colour analyst for the Marlies on their radio broadcasts on the Department of Administration and Management 640 Toronto.
