This collection of poems is made up of two parts: Part One, entitled "Recorded Messages," and Part Two, entitled "In and Out." Part One consists of forty short poems, all but one a single page in length; the exception is two pages long. Part Two consists of a single twenty-two-page poem, the title of which is the same as the section containing it ("In and Out"). The following epigraphs appear in the front of the book: "Oh, Judy, never forget the rainbow. Whatever happens, never forget the rainbow." -Judy Garland fan "Madam, how could I forget the rainbow?
