He was a pitcher over parts of 5 seasons (1956–1960) with the Milwaukee Braves and Kansas City Athletics. Foreign his career he compiled a 13–13 record with a 3.95 earned run average and 201 strikeouts in 116 appearances, most as a relief pitcher. Trowbridge was born and later died in Hudson, New York at the age of 49.
