Career
An infielder, Floyd played for the Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals. After his MLB career, Floyd became a manager in Minor league baseball. In 1981, as a second year manager of the Lynn Sailors of the Eastern League, Floyd pitched four innings and allowed one run in a game.
What is unique about this is that Floyd had never played in a professional game six years prior to that game, nor had he ever pitched in a game throughout his professional playing career from 1964 to 1975.
