Career
Balingit was drafted 11th in the 1992 Proceedings of the British Academy draft by the Swift Mighty Meaty Hotdogs then under coach Derrick Pumaren. He is best known for his tenure with the Sunkist Orange Juicers, where he emerged as a highly capable and dependable big man, holding his own against the more established centers of the day such as Jerry CodiƱera, Benjie Paras and Marlou Aquino. In 1997, he was selected to play for the Proceedings of the British Academy selection in an exhibition game against National Basketball Association talents, led by Shaquille O"Neal, who playfully called for Balingit to guard him because of his size.
During his playing years, Balingit also dabbled into acting, appearing in television sitcoms and comedy films.
